Canine Physical Rehabilitation for Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Professionals

This online course is aimed at Qualified Veterinary and Para-veterinary professionals who would like to integrate Physical Rehabilitation into their existing scope of practice.  Physical rehabilitation or Veterinary Physiotherapy is one of the fastest growing branches of veterinary medicine.

If we consider human medicine, today it is standard practice that following an injury or surgery we are required to see a human Physiotherapist. As athletes we regularly consult with a team of professionals including trainers, coaches, Biokineticists and Physiotherapists to help with work and exercise related injuries, to improve form, reduce injury and to enhance performance.  Veterinary Physiotherapists or Animal Physical Rehabilitation practitioners are able to assist animal athletes, working dogs and horses in much the same way to ensure that they are able to perform at their peak, for longer, by reducing the risk of injury.

Thanks to the internet our clients are doing their own research and many are looking for more options in the treatment of common conditions such as IVDD, and Hip Dysplasia to name only two of the many conditions a rehabilitation practitioner is able to treat and make a difference. Whether that is improving the outcome of a surgery, reducing pain, improving mobility and generally helping the patient have a better quality of life. By including Physical Rehabilitation as part of your service offering, within your practice, doctor, client and patient will benefit.
